this video is brought to you by DueTT hey guys it's Thomas from the Barber Style Directory and welcome back to another video in this video I will be focusing on fading straight hair. I get a lot of people in the comments asking hey how do you fade straight hair or are the steps the same and the answer to both of those questions is yes. Fading straight hair is just like fading coarse hair or thick hair of any other type of hair and we're gonna focus on that in this video and don't forget after you finish watching this video click the link in the description and check out the blog associated with this video on how to style and maintain this haircut if you haven't already be sure to subscribe and click the notification bell so that way you'll know whenever we upload new content and without further ado let's get into the video we're gonna start this fade out by balding him with the Wahl Detailers as usual and notice how I'm holding down his ear because I don't want to nick him in that area and right here I take the Oster Fast Feeds with the lever fully open and I make my next guideline this video is going to be really simple and to the point just like the other easy fade technique video that I have and we're making the guideline about an inch high. Alright you see me fully close the lever and now I'm just about to start going through the steps it's really simple then you see me open the lever up once again and that's the thing about straight hair don't be scared to fade it. you use the same steps to fade straight hair as you would coarse hair. Here you see me open it up one more time. Alright so here I take the zero guard and the liver is fully open and I make another guideline about an inch and you can see it starting to fade already. Guys when you're fading don't get scared. See all I'm doing is making guide lines and taking them out that's all I'm doing I make a guide line and then I blend it out that's all I'm doing here I'll close the lever and go right up under that 1 open here you go halfway and notice how I go back and forth but I go side to side. I turn my Clippers different ways just to make sure that I'm cutting the hair even. Okay straight hair can sometimes have dark spots, and then here you see me take the lever fully open with no guard and just knock out that faint line that I see. Notice how I always tilt the Clippers certain ways just to make sure that I'm getting a nice even blend. Like I said with straight how you can have a lot of dark spots but here I have the one and a half guard with the liver fully open and I'm going right up to the ridge of his head and notice how I have the Clipper fading flush with his with the shape of his head. I'm not digging into the skin. and there you saw me close the lever. I'm going right up under that one and a half. all right and then now we're just gonna take the 1 guard and just knock out the rest of the rest of that line that you see, and we'll pretty much be done. Guys this fade is simple enough. It didn't take me a long time, the steps are simple and straight to the point. so if I can do it I know you guys can do it so, if you're having trouble fading just watch this video rewind it if you need to. I want to help you guys be able to fade easily. This method is pretty simple for me so I wanted to be simpler I want to share it with you guys so it'll be something for you also and then right here I just saw a little weight up at the top sides to the three-guard just to knock some of that bulk down. so what you see me doing right here, like I said straight hair can have dark spots so I don't want to create another guideline so I just took the Clipper at an angle just to flick out the dark spots, and you'll see me do that later on as well. Right here I just wet the hair just to do a little clipper over comb so you won't see any straggling hair sticking out on the side and I like to use a white comb because you can see the hair you can see how much hair is going through the comb, and notice I'm not cutting a lot I'm just trying to make it even. Now we just move on to the back and you just see me do the same steps so you guys just watch it follow along and see if you can determine what steps I'm about to do to do next and I wanted to show you guys the back because you know a lot of times you stop skipping back but it's really the same stuff I just want to show you that and then here you see me using that same technique because I don't want to raise the guideline I just wanted to eliminate some bulk, but yeah guys this is this is pretty much the fade, simple and easy. here we just proceed on to the lineup now notice I'm trying not trying to give him a super crispy line up you just want it nice and neat. Then here I'm just wetting the hair because he wants a soft part in his head he doesn't want anything too hard that's why I'm only doing it with the Clippers and here I just take my shears and just clean up the loose hairs that I see so the part would be nice into it so pretty much does let me know what you think in the comments. if this video was helpful for you be sure to share it also subscribe and like the video and I will see you guys on the next video thanks for watching!
