PAUL HOME GREEN WAS DRAFTED BY FLYERS IN 1975. HE SPENT NEXT FOUR DECADES AS KEY MEMBER OF THE ORGANIZATION. TODAY HE TAKES A STEP BACK, WAY BACK, SIX THREE-YEAR OLD HAS STEPPED DOWN AS TEAM'S PRESIDENT, TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH HIS FAMILY. GENERAL MANAGER CHUCK FLETCHER ADDS PRESIDENT OF THE HOCKEY OPERATIONS TO HIS TITLE. HOLMGREN WILL REMAIN WITH THE TEAM AS A SPECIAL ADVISOR TO FLETCHER AND COMCAST SPECTACOR CEO DAVE SCOTT. I HAVE EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN AND THAT IS A PRETTY COOL THING. I WANT TO LOOK AFTER THAT PART OF MY LIFE, AND, THE OTHER, THE FLIP SIDE IS, I THINK WE'RE IN A GOOD SPOT RIGHT NOW.
