    TO THE DIAMOND, THE SAN LUIS OBISPO BLUES BASEBALL SEASON CAME TO AN END LAST FRIDAY NIGHT, AND TODAY, KSBY WAS INFORMED THAT DAN MARPLE'S TENURE AS MANAGER IS OVER AS WELL. MARPLE HAS DECIDED TO STEP DOWN AFTER THREE SEASONS WITH THE BLUES TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH HIS FAMILY. MARPLE SAYS THE TWO SIDES PARTED WAYS ON GREAT TERMS. DURING HIS THREE SUMMERS AT THE HELM, MARPLE COMPILED AN 83-60 OVERALL RECORD, 50-48 IN CALIFORNIA COLLEGIATE LEAGUE PLAY. HE LED THE BLUES TO A 30-WIN SEASON THIS SUMMER, THEIR FIRST SINCE 2015. BLUES GENERAL MANAGER ADAM STOWE RELEASED A STATEMENT ABOUT MARPLE'S DEPARTURE. "DAN IS ONE OF THE CLASSIEST GENTLEMEN I'VE EVER MET. IT WAS AN HONOR TO HAVE HIM AT THE HELM FOR THREE SEASONS AND WE ARE DEEPLY SADDENED TO SEE HIM GO.
